Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

  • What is clickResume?

clickResume is a fully customizable web site portal dedicated to showcasing an individual’s skillsets when looking for the next career opportunity. Being an actual website, clickResume does not have the limitations that a traditional resume has.

For example, a 20 page resume would be excessive, but a 20 page website would be considered rather small. This perception difference gives you an advantage when competing with other applicants.

Additionally, clickResume can contain Video, Audio, Graphics, and Pictures to help you present your case that you are the best possible applicant.

  • Is clickResume a resplacement for my Microsoft Word Resume?

No, you will always need a Microsoft Word resume primarily because most Applicant Tracking System (ATS) databases used by HR can only read a Word or Text resume. PDFs are highly discouraged also. For this reason, clickResume has a document downloading component so that a reviewer can download your latest resume in one click.

Additionally, storing your current resume on the clickResume site assures you that you always know where your last resume is for updating.

  • If I’m going to need a Microsoft Word Resume, why do I need clickResume?

Let’s face it; a business doesn’t rely on yellow page ads alone, then why should you put all of your trust in a single resume? Sell yourself just like a business would, with a website!

When a potential recruiter or employer visits to the site to retrieve your resume, you have an opportunity to entice them with additional information that can’t appear or fit on your resume. You can show them your presentation and communication skills with Video; provide sample documents of your work that they can download; present Audio of a lecture or a podcast that you produced; provide pictures of products that you worked on that are not easily described.

If a picture is worth a thousand words, a Multimedia resume should be worth several face-to-face interviews.

  • Do I need to know how to program websites to use clickResume?

No, clickResume uses an intuitive user interface that is very much like Microsoft Word. There are also Video tutorials to guide you in your learning. You can view a small sample of the training videos by clicking here.

  • How much does clickResume cost?

clickResume is FREE, but if you want to increase your chances of getting noticed, clickResume Professional is only $5.99 monthly. There are no contracts and you can cancel at any time without penalty.

  • Why do you charge for the clickResume Professional version?

Because our primary source of income does not come from advertising, however, we do have a limited free account offering.

You do not want to have ads appearing on a site that is supposed to be representing you. Free sites either have annoying banners or they use the top few inches of precious first impression space to advertise their site. We will never place an advertisement on your site.

The only add you will see is a single banner when you are editing your resume because we feel that the product being advertised is related to your objective of finding a new job. This ad will never appear on your resume site when viewed by a recruiter or employer.
